doPDF is a freeware PDF writer or creator that acts like a virtual printer. Basically, any document or file that responds to Print command, can be converted to a PDF file. Does not offer too many options, but for basic PDF conversion can be ideal. They offer more features such as watermark and password protection in a paid software called NovaPDF.
doPDF has a modern interface and does not install any other components such as Ghostscript, often used by similar programs in order to be able to create a PDF.
1. Modern interface
Since the installation, you will see a modern interface that is preserved during utilization itself, this program having a very good usability.
2. It has an interface
Program has an interface where you can browse the source file to be converted. Alternatively, you can use it as default or select it as printer and will generate a PDF file after you make the “virtual” print.
3. Different layouts supported
Supports to adjust graphic resolution and select desired format from a generous list (envelope, A5, letter ..).
4. Choose quality
You can choose highest quality and doPDF will generate a PDF with bigger file size. If you are interested especially in a small size, choose Smallest file option. I have tested both types and the difference regarding size is pretty big.
